Editions

Contextica is available in two editions: Community and Enterprise. Both editions include the essential features of the library, but they differ in reporting, governance, licensing, and support.

Community Edition

The Community Edition is free to use and includes all essential features for defining, configuring, and executing AI functions.

It is suitable for evaluation, personal learning, and research projects.

Limitations:

  • Basic reporting only
  • contexts.json overwritten on each optimization run (no backups)
  • Not permitted for commercial or production use

Enterprise Edition

The Enterprise Edition requires a paid license. It contains everything in the Community Edition, plus additional features for professional teams and production environments.

Additional Features:

  • Advanced reporting for optimization runs
  • Automatic backups and history of generated contexts
  • Priority support and implementation guidance

The Enterprise Edition is required for use in commercial or production settings.


Licensing Model

The Enterprise Edition is licensed per developer seat. Seat limits apply, and organizations should ensure all active developers are licensed.

Community Edition

Audience: Individual developers
Use cases: Personal learning, hobby projects, academic research, non-production evaluation
License: Free of charge, not permitted for commercial use

Enterprise Edition

Audience: Organizations (companies, NGOs, government bodies)
Use cases: Internal systems, production workloads, commercial projects
License: Paid, per developer seat, includes support
